Policies
A few policy changes would be added in place to set the standards for what to expect from our services & protect the business. In the past we have had issues that have we have experienced more than we should have & we have come up with a few changes that we believe would help with future success.
Our first & most important change would be ABSOLUTELY 0 DISCOUNTS. Whether it be friends, family or potentially new clients. Our services have been taken advantage of because we allowed customers to negotiate our prices to benefit themselves. If that customer is looking for the part, they will buy the part as cheap as possible from someone else for financial benefit or pay for your price to support the business & gain a person to person relationship. We are entirely too small to discount as much as we used to.
Second change is going to be a storage fee/late fee. If your machine was torn down & quoted the parts it needs to be replaced & it remains unpaid/torn down, then after 2 weeks there will be a $50 fee added to the invoice weekly until the invoice is paid. If the unit is finished & labor is not paid after 2 weeks, there will be a $50 fee added to the final bill weekly. If the unit is in the possession of shop 6 months after the final notice, then it will either go up for resale or become property of the business.
Third change is about our mobility rate, we mentioned we would not do any mobile repairs/quotes but it seems the market is high enough for it. If we receive a call to come to the customer, our labor rate starts from the time we leave & make our way to the customer/unit, then the actual labor for the job, then the time it took to return to the shop. The mobility rate is capped at $160/hr for any mobile quotes/repairs.
Fourth change is about our "warranties". We have had very few issues with warranties, whether it be a failing part or an issue with an engine. Stock engines will have a warranty repair of 30 days from the time the engine is installed & started. Any engine that has a performance part added will not have any warranty. We have built many engines & have had great success so there should be no worry of using our services, unless we deem the cause from our failure.
Our growth over the years have been a great blessing & we have plans for future growth with the great increase of supporting clients. At the end of the day our intended goal from day one has always been prioritizing people over profits, that has & always will be our end goal. However these changes have been put into place to protect the profits so that we can continue to grow & make the business better than it was the year before.
Thank you all for your loving support to build something that we never could have imagined from SBC & the others, Thank you!
